Roots and Derivatives

Last week was Walt Disney's bicentennial of creating Disney World.

The white comet only passes every bicentennial which is unfortunate to people who want to witness one.

My great grandma will become a centenarian in two days. 

3. centurion n, a: a Roman officer commanding one hundred men; a, related to the military mind, especially as it favors military solutions for handling social problems

4. clamorous a: characterized by continuous loud and complaining voices; noisily complaining; insistent

The students in Calculus were clamorous when the teacher stated that there would be a test the following day.

5. concise a: covering much in few words; brief and to the point

My chemistry teacher was concise about how he wanted the project due next month. 

6. concordance n: a condition of harmony or agreement; an alphabetical index indicating reference passages, as from a writers works

The mother and father of the child were in concordance that she needed extra help in math class. 

7. cordial a: of the heart; warm and friendly; amiabled

The teenager had a cordial personality. 

8. discordant a: (sounding) harsh or inharmonious; clashing

The band was discordant the king was disatesfiesd.

9. genocide n: the systematic extermination of an ethnic group

Hitler planned a fen oxide against the Jews. 

10. incisive a: keenly penetrating; cutting into

The sergon was incisive of the woman's body. 

11. proclamation n: an official statement or announcement that informs or honors

The kings proclamation was that everyone must give his 20% of thier earnings to him. 

12. reclaim v: to claim again; to restore to former importance or usefulness  

The teenager reclaimed that she did not plagiarize.
